I am actually more of an accidental dog trainer. Even though I have had a strong interest in animals, especially dogs, since I was a little boy, my mother would never let me have a dog. Citing reasons like my sinus and asthma, I only managed to get a dog of my own when I did my undergraduate studies in New South Wales, Australia.
Being a student without too many friends in a new place, I volunteered at the Sydney Dogs Home (Now renamed as the Sydney Dogs And Cats Home). At the SDH, I learned a lot from the other volunteers as well as professionals who frequented the place. I also ended up fostering my first dog, Princess -

I enrolled Lucky in a Basic Obedience Course with Companion Dog Trainers under the guidance of my mentors. Training Lucky was a challenge which proved to be most rewarding. Due to my interest in dog training, we subsequently went on with Intermediate and Advance Obedience Courses. My mentors noticed my enthusiasm and invited me to serve as an apprentice and assist them in the training. I realised that I have finally found my calling in which I now use the training that I picked up to help other dogs.
